Kaplan Opens Stem Cell Lab

We are very pleased to announce that we have opened our stem cell lab and performed our first stem cell enhanced fat transfer breast enhancement. There have only been a few of these accomplished in the country and we are thrilled to be among the pioneers. Dr. Kaplan has performed this procedure for 11 years, however, this is the first fat transfer breast enhancement using the patient’s stem cells which is expected to increase the effectiveness and duration of the enhancement.
Shortly, we will be applying to the FDA for other uses of stem cells and we are in the process of providing stem cells to other medical and veterinary practitioners.

It has been a difficult year for us all and, hopefully, next year will show some improvement. We have been offering discounts for breast augmentation and liposculpture to help as we all need a little help now and then. Dr. Yee has been a tremendous addition to our practice as we have been performing our surgeries together, two heads are better than one, and Kin is able to add procedures we were not able to do before. Also new this year, Radiesse has become even more popular for the liquid facelift. Thanks to new techniqes and FDA approval to add Lidocaine to the product, we are able to produce some truly nice results with less discomfort. Our C.A.L.M. treatments for cellulite, fat, and skin tightening have been doing very well- that stands for carboxy therapy, LED, and mesotherapy- all contributing to even better results than any one therapy. There is still time to get in on the Botox rebates and discounts on surgery before the end of the year. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.

Winter Park Fashion Week

Appearance Medicine

Recently published in the Cosmetic Surgery Times were articles describing some new techniques. This area is becoming called appearance medicine as it is non-surgical. One is called adipose augmentation, that is using your own fat to enhance the volume of the area where the fat is transplanted. There has been controversy over using this fat for breast augmentation, however, I have used this technique for over 10 years. For the right person, it is an excellent technique. Plastic surgeons were trying to say it caused calcifications in the breast which could obscure the detection of breast cancer. It turns out (and I knew this for a long time) that there is a very low percentage of calcification formation and it is extremely small and in no way obscures cancer detection. This was an unfounded attempt by plastics to scare patients away from this technique. Autologous fat can also be transplanted into the face for volume enhancement, the back of the hand, or defects from aggressive liposuction.
The next new technique is carboxytherapy, which is the injection of carbon dioxide under the skin and into cellulite, scars, loose skin, psoriasis, or ulcers to promote healing, tightening, lessening of fatty deposits and is a very safe, easy, no downtime procedure. I have been performing carboxy therapy for about a year and have some very nice improvements for cellulite and fatty deposits not able to be treated with liposculpture.

Elise came in to see me today and I must say she looks amazing! I cannot wait til our Girls Nite Out with Elise on Sept. 9th so we can see the before and afters. I can tell you that I can see a tremendous difference in how she fits in those skinny jeans. She will tell you she looks and feels great. We did liposculpture on the inner and outer thighs which has made her butt look amazing by removing the outside weight and the appearance of width. Psoriasis- New Drug-free Treatment
