Drs. Kaplan and Yee offer the latest advance in cosmetic surgery.  Many of the procedures previously and still only offered elsewhere by general and or intravenous anesthesia, can be performed with local or tumescent anesthesia.  What this means to you is a safer procedure, more affordable, and with an easier recovery.  Did you know that between 2000 and 2007 in Florida alone, there have been at least 20 deaths associated with procedures performed by board certified plastic surgeons?   There have been over 150 more hospitalizations.  During this same period there have been no reported deaths associated with local anesthesia cosmetic surgery.  So why accept more risk, more expense and a more difficult post-operative period if it is not necessary?  In 2004, Dr. Kaplan was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery for under the muscle breast augmentation using only local or tumescent anesthesia.  New associate, Dr. Kin Yee, D.O., a board certified surgeon, works with Dr. Kaplan to provide breast augmentation, tummy tucks, mini face lifts and other surgeries using this local anesthesia technique.  The surgeries are performed in the office with no additional fees for O.R., anesthesia, recovery, or other surcharges.  Patients are able to walk out of the Center 15 minutes after their procedure with no pain allowing them to go home, rest, have a bite to eat and start the pain medication before the local wears off.  Over 5000 surgeries have been performed this way by Drs. Kaplan and Yee and our patients are more than happy to tell all about their experience.   For a free consultation call 1-800-329-4411

Should I wait until after I have children?

Many women have children after augmentation and breast feed without difficulty. Some women get very large with pregnancy and might not care for the much increased size while others like this; the breast undergoes regression after the pregnancy or breast feeding and the previously placed implants might be thought not large enough while others revert back to the same size and do just fine. So, there is no way to really know the right answer.

A patient has to weigh the factors. What I usually say is that if you are planning to add to your family, wait. If your plan is to have children sometime in the future and the next few years are important as to how you feel about yourself, then it is perfectly fine to do the surgery before children.
