New Acne Treatment is Drug-free

Kaplan Cosmetic Surgery Centers is very excited about its new Lightwave LED, a light treatment that is computerized to deliver different treatments for many different conditions.  For the treatment of ACNE, the face and or back are cleansed and prepped with either microdermabrasion or a light chemical peel, followed by the application of Levulan.  After an incubati0n period, the area is placed under the LED blue light for a painless treatment that accelerates the clearing of acne without the use of antibiotics.  The computerized program also combines a red light which reduces the redness and inflammation which accompanies acne.  Combined with our home kit for maintenance, this treatment regimen is a major advance in the war against acne.  It is especially advantageous for women of child-bearing age or are otherwise on “the pill” as the duties and effectiveness of “the pill” will not be affected as it is with antibiotics.
